Continue ShoppingPrivilege to be Chairperson for the judging of the ICON International Photography Awards in Las Vegas this week.
And just like that, day 1 of the Icon International Photography Awards has been successfully completed. Kudos to Jerry Ghionis and Melissa Ghionis for the monumental operation 
It’s not just seeing the machine up&running, it’s the spirit of gratitude and commitments that everybody poured in it that make it happen.
From the heroic print handlers to the live streaming crew (with Fable Studios deploying its best assets) from the international judges volunteering their time to the happy faces of those photographers who made to the finals.
Sarah Edmunds Sanjay Jogia Joseph Victor Stefanchik Andrew Hiorth Johnson Wee Nik Pekridis and the other peer judges provided an amazing wealth of considerations commenting each finalist. Tony Hewitt orchestrated the panel flawlessly for the entire day with his gentlemanly way to vector people attention onto the relevant bits.
I’m elated for having been involved in this project… wait to see the Icon Awards Book and the live CC at the show floor!
But I have to say the greatest joy was to see prints I’ve crafted for some fellows under the light booth. That’s the moment where magic happens, where photons and bits turn into real matter. Such an honour to have helped amazing talents in this challenge.
Whether one wins or not, at this point it doesn’t really matter, you guys won already because you are the beating heart of this industry.
Did I mention we met all our friends?
