Artist’s Statement:

Some would say that as human beings we seem to accommodate a society which appears to be prepared, to a large extent, to stand by as our water ways are polluted, our trees are left to die and our sky’s become toxic. An old petrol bowser stands silently as an idol, symbolic of the worship afforded an ever diminishing resource. Our world loses it’s colour and we are left with reminders of the consequences of the decisions made in decades and centuries past. . . . . . . ! The fragile balance of life as we know it, increasingly moving towards consequences that those who will come after us will endure, . . . with perhaps little choices and less flexibility than the constant promises of technology afford us today! Pushed into the background the very basics of life, namely plants, water and air, are left to wither as we steadfastly hold onto false Gods!
